Two people that I plan to interview are either Judy Ortiz and Jessica George. One is an EMS Captain and the other is an Assistant Chief.
This is an ongoing project, and there may be more or different questions asked. They will relate to genre when it comes to emails, narrative formats, and presentations. Our administration has created some very specific methods of communication.
1: The first one with be about the importance of genre in radio communications. Our dispatch office recently merged with the Sheriffs Office dispatch. These two organisations had very different genres of communicaiton. We have created some new terms to help us mesh with the Sherrifs Office. Have you seen any improvement in communication yet as a result of these?
2. You have a very specific narrative format. Have you seen an improvement in results as a result of specific format?
2a: Without getting into sensitive information, have you seen an improvement in how the billing company responds?
3: Do you agree with slideshow presentations or do you have a preferred method of presenting information?
4: Our organization does continuing education. I have seen you play games with students in the past. Did you find this helpful? Or did you end up sticking to slideshows.
5: I don’t see you send a lot of emails. Do you prefer emails a genre of communication. Do you have a specific email format that brings the best responses?
